You're very far from your home galaxy aren't you Lord Vader?
You usually terrorize the Religion and Spirituality quadrant!
Anyhow, use the force and make her do the EWOK DANCE, and forget that part about what looks like you being cremated -- it was some OTHER guy, maybe a clone!

I think you need to take a long look at this woman and identify if this was an event or if there is a pattern of child endangerment. if there is a pattern then severe legal punishment.
If not then one year having to drive with a big red sign on the top of her car, like cabs have, telling the world to check on this car because the Mom has already killed one child.
Public humiliation needs to be brought back as a punishment for stupidity. The jails and courts are over crowded.

She deserves jail time and her other daughter should be taken from her. She's guilty of neglect and wreckless endangerment, plain and simple! Children dying from being left in overheated cars isn't some new "silent killer", the warnings have been out for years and even if they hadn't been, we've all gotten into a car on a hot day and felt that intense heat. Why would you leave a child or a pet to suffer in that? You're basically cooking them! She murdered her child with her selfishness and should pay for it! She's an unfit mother and should be punished accordingly. Children aren't an inconvenience, they're your children! You don't leave them in a car by themselves while you go watch your older daughter's report being given!

I have a real problem with this case in my hometown. I posted an earlier question on this. I was going to post more but your question shows a relevant link. I think she deserved to be at least tried for child endangering and I question if someone of a lower economic class or from other counties in Ohio would not have been charged for the same offense. Its interesting that the lawyer for the women is the county commissioner in the county she could have been charged in and his vote could change agency funding for the Prosecutor in the case. I find it odd that she could remember the donuts enough to go back out to get them and then also get back in her vehicle to park it without noticing her child. She has been warned of this behavior before so she at least has done it one other time. I think she should of been tried and gone to jail.

This happens an amazing amount of the time. I have passed vehicles in parking lots that have children locked into them myself. Some people are so stupid they should be sterilized so they cannot pass on their genes.
To be fair, they might be leaving their offspring unprotected in an attempt to rectify this situation.
Like mothers who drink while pregnant and burden the rest of us with the care and control of their unmanageable children, they should be sterilized and forbidden from adopting. Freedoms bring obligations, and those who fail to honour the need to act responsibly should have those freedom revoked.
There is no inalienable right to endanger others.

How stupid can people be? Just walk out to your car after its been in the sun for a few minutes and you know its going to be hot.
Lock the parent up and leave them in the car for a few hours with no way to open the doors or windows. We can let them out as they are gasping for air in a 150 degree car after a few hours.
Put them in jail since people will think my punishment is being too hard on them.

What else is she going to do accidentally? I guess that irks me as much as the cop in Arizona that left his police dog in the car for 12 hours and was surprised it was dead when he returned. Some people just seem to get a smack on the hands.

Depending on the time span, she should do time in jail and possibly be removed from the child for a certain amount of time, then take a parenting class.

is no accident. this person should be
locked alone inside a car on a dark city street
at dusk and see just how scary it is.

How about Involuntary manslaughter?
"Involuntary manslaughter, sometimes called criminally negligent homicide in the United States, Gross negligence manslaughter in the UK or culpable homicide in Scotland, occurs where there is no intention to kill or cause serious injury but death is due to recklessness or criminal negligence."
Seems to fit
On an unrelated note, I think the gravity machine on the death star broke because your upside down!
