Rabbits can get fleas just like any other dog or cat. Some possible reasons may be because you have other furry animals in the house, or maybe they have been around other animals with fleas. Theres a chance he or she coulda even picked them up outside (espeically ticks). I found this website :
http://www.allearssac.org/fleas.html
Check it out- it has how to get rid of them effectivly, as well as what not to do!
Goodluck!

Ticks and fleas thrive in the warm summer climate usually in lowlying grassy areas. If you are keeping your rabbit outdoors it's getting exposed to the fleas and ticks living outdoors. If the infestation is not too intense you may try cleaning the cage thoroughly and spraying it down with OFF! insect repellant before putting the rabbit back into it. I hope I've helped.

do you have other animals in the house cat or dog? take it to the vet let him get rid of you flees and don't take it for walks in the woods and it wouldn't have ticks.and do you know fleas can travel with you into the house on you cloths just as ticks can so check your self as well unless you like the inching

Because you didn't protect it from infestation. Head to the vet and ask about the suitability of Frontline for rabbits. I have used Advantage with great results, but not Frontline. Be sure to get the formula for kittens as the others are too strong.

well this is what you do. i am not sure if you can buy them front line. but when you go inside and outside they tend to rid on your clothes and head for the animals. you have to spray in side and out it works and its at home depot. i am a big believer of this. my son got rid of them for me and i am quite happy with dogs (2). i use front line plus also but you can ask vet or call carealot.com and ask them about it.
