So what if they are? Unless you're really close to someone you really can't tell that it is, that is if you're using a good brand. They give you a different look. They are fun. They offer a step outside of the norm. Hey if you don't like them...that's on you but boring people please step aside. I honestly do not care if people know they are contacts or not. It's all about me and I love trying out new colors. Being nearsighted is bad enough why not add some color to your life.

Colored contacts are generally used for decorative effect, to heighten or highlight existing eye color, or to create a new look, as well as for vision correction.
The fact that they're sometimes obvious is besides the point.

Cos they make your eyes look pretty and you can wear a color to match your clothes or jewellery to give a totally smashing look

It is obvious but it's so fun. I don't wear them, but I have tried them and it really looks different. Especially when your eyes are BROWN.
