For some things, yes. For others, no.

For example, I love trying new foods, especially candy and drinks. I also love driving new routes to familiar locations and going places I've never been before (preferably without an agenda!). I'm addicted to moving; I move every couple of years, though I'll probably settle down now that I'm engaged.

However, I usually prefer songs I already know the lyrics to and will only use certain brands of household products. I also tend to shop in the same clothing stores.

I guess moderation is the word of the day!

Before it became familiar it was an unknown, so I guess I prefer unknown familiars.

The strange is familiar if that is all you ever see.
