I don't mean to be abrasive but dear Miss Wanda would laugh and say what's wrong girl are you having a brain fart? Lo and behold it described my condition to a tee.

As I age I'm having brain farts more and more often, my mum used to call them menopausal moments.

yup and my computer has them as well. Much less offensive than "blonde moment" as the blonde women I know are also the smartest women I know and the most successful and hard working. I dont know a "real" dumb blonde, so I prefer brain fart, and have been using the expression for awhile.

Isnt it funny how people my mothers age thought that kind of language was disgusting and offensive? Like a MAJOR offense. My mother would go off the deep end if you said it in front of her -

Lord, it seems as if my brain has eating bowls of beans lately...trust me, there isn't an hour that passes when something like this doesn't happen. And, truthfully, it worries me. It seems to occur mainly when I am looking for a word I fully know, a word that is the best word for the sentence I am writing, and...it only happens here at Yahoo! Of course, the next day, I will 're-know' the word, long after it is needed. And, true to my nature, I am worried that this is the onset of Altzheimers. At 66, I suppose we all have our worries, and, although this sounds terrible, I sincerely hope that I am not the only one here who has this happen. My brain can play excellent bridge, I can run a business to maximum efficiency, and yet I am at a loss for a stupid word! Does this happen to anyone else here???? Oh, Please say it does...please!
Good luck and peace, Goldwing.

Since you are putting this under the Seniors' Section, I take offense.
Seniors don't have brain farts.
We enjoy "Senior Moments" instead.

Now, what were you saying?

It's like it's on the tip of your tounge, but just won't come out. You know what you want to say, but the right word is not there.
