India is a country with diverse religions & cultures. It has been a melting pot for hundreds of years. The various imp dates/days are Diwali, Holi, Eid-al-Adha, Eid-al-Fitr, Ramadan, Dusherra, Teacher's day 5th September & Baisakhi to name a few.
India is a very colourful country & has a rich heritage. It is home to many hindus, muslims, buddhists, jews, christians, sikhs & many more.
My suggestion is that if you go country by country you will find alot....maybe too much to handle.

What would be fun is to dress up for the occassion. If its Indian...then sarees/salwar suits.... or just represent the bright colours.

Good luck!!

You need to have stuff with food! Have all the members of yourclub bring in a dish from their culture. If you need to raise money, it would make for a fun bake sale :o)
