Steve Berry is really good-- mostly fiction laced with some hitsorical facts but just to give an idea of where you are at in the book.

He has written: Alexandria Link. The Amber Room, The Last Templor, the Tomanivo Prophecy and the 3rd secert.

All were very hard for me to put down. Also anthing by James Patterson is good. So is Janet Evonvich's series 1-13.

Happy reading

One of my favorite books of all times (I have two faves actually) is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and The Diary of Anne Frank. Coming of age stories are awesome as it gives you an open window to what someone else's life was like during the time that they grew up and how it is different from yours.

If you like fiction and mysteries, try reading Agatha Christie.

The Belgaraid by David Eddings. It's a few books. It's been re-released into 2 volumes though.

Also I hear the Wheel of Time is a good series.

The "Something from the Nightside" series by Simon R. Green.

"American Gods," by Neil Gaiman.

Jim Boucher's Harry Dresden series is excellent.

Ray Bradbuy's work should be in your list.

The "Princes in Amber" series and "A Night in the Lonesome October," which is narrated by Jack the Ripper's Talking Dog is one of my favorite gonzo reads.

I don't really read the same types of books that you do but I always recommend the book "Tuesdays With Morrie". It is one of the best books that I have ever read. It will give you a whole new outlook on life.

I've been reading the queen betsy series that is very funny. It starts with undead and unwed, then undead and unemployed, etc.

I read stardust and it was nice. Creative, but predictable. I love the neverwhere DVD. Fantastic.
