cant figure out how to get the old one off

Here's Honda's instructions for replacing the alternator:

1 . Remove the power steering pump) and the cruise control actuator
NOTE: Do not disconnect the actuator cable.

2. Disconnect the alternator connector from the alternator.

3. Remove the terminal nut and the WHT/RED wire from the B terminal.

4. Loosen the adjusting bolt, then remove the alternator nut.

5. Remove the alternator belt from the alternator pulley.

6. Remove the adjusting bolt, the lower through bolt and the stay.

7. Remove the upper through bolt, then remove the alternator.

8. If necessary, remove the 4 mount bracket bolts, the mount bracket and the heat insulator.
NOTE: Use liquid gasket (Part No. 08718–550000 OE).

9. Alternator installation is the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION: Adjust the alternator belt tension after installation

if this is the one i`m thinking of, it should be fairly simple. there are one or two bolts,undo them and the belt will become slack. There you have it
