For me, it would have to be a Roman during the height of the Roman Empire or a Roman legionary on a campaign somewhere.

Another one I would like is a crusader during the First Crusade. What about you?

Yeah ancient Egypt would be a favorite of mine too, and it would be cool to try and prevent Caesar's assasination.

I don't know why you'd want to be a crusader, their lives were quite hard. And you'd slaughter thousands of Jews for no reason. Jerk, lol.

I would visit Egypt during the New Kingdom (the reigns of Hatshepsut, Thutmose III, Amenhotep III, Akhenaten, and Rameses II). I'd also want to visit the time of Alexander the Great and join him on his campaigns. I'd also like to visit Caesar and try and prevent his assassination, just to see whether he would have been victorious against Parthia.

Europe in the time of the French Revolution when Marie Antoinette was queen.

Europe near and in the time of WW2 (1933-1945).

Why? Because those are the two main historical events I'm really interested in.

2nd Century, BCE, to visit the city of Alexandria, peruse the library and see the lighthouse (one of the 7 ancient wonders).

By some estimates (including Carl Sagan's), the Library of Alexandria had nearly one million scrolls with academic achievements in physics, geometry and architecture that would not be matched for another 1500 years after its destruction.

If that hadn't happened, imagine where we might be today in terms of technological and societal development!

Great question. i would have to say probably during the time of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.
I'm not a religious type, but I think that the ideas, which were so radical at the time, would be a interesting thing to have witnessed.
