I will be honest and state that I am not familiar with any religion besides christianity, however my assumption would be that Jesus is the son of god and was sent here with the pre-determination that he would sacrifice his life so that we would be forgiven for our sins. Also that belief in Christ as our saviour is what is needed to get us into heaven.

The Divinity of Jesus and the belief that he died for our sins, and was resurrected, and that it is only through Jesus that we may be saved. It is this belief that is the central tenet of Christianity.

Christianity has never had a monopoly on directing people to be good, kind, charitable, etc. And I have never heard anybody claim otherwise.

Nope, they're all recycled concepts of other religions. And to some of the posters on here, what is so positive about a religion that maintains 80% of the world is going to hell because they don't believe in Jesus? Doesn't sound very positive to me...

It requires no research at all. Christianity differs from any other in that Christianity alone tells people how to live; all others, including Judaism, is full of "thou shalt nots". Chrisitanity is positive; all others are negative.
