Usually, because someone who has low self esteem spends too much time comparing themselves to the perfect model, and picking out all their faults and comparing them to other people's good points. When in a relationship this can obviously leave the person feeling completely inadequate compared to the competition, and this causes jealousy.

Maybe there are lots of probable causes of inferiority and lots of paths it can lead to,dont believe me?example if a person sets a high goal and that person cant reach it,it may causeinferiority ,jealousy and the need to outdo other to overcompensate for the negative impulses brought about. What always causes jealousy is not being content with your life and not being happy with the good fortune with others =)

No, not inferiority but insecurity does. You can live with it though. Find someone that understands your jealousy and loves you anyway.
