Sometimes you can come to a place where getting it back is no longer important. The joy really is in the giving, it is what feeds you.You give because that is what your are, & you could just not be any other way.

When i give it all, i do not expect that all could be given back to me. I don't care much about it because that big portion must not be expected to be returned in the first place. A small portion will just be enough for everything is too much. What is vital and pertinent in giving what you got - is the sharing of thoughts in helping that person. I think that for me is the most precious thought that a person should think. Don't ever expect too much if you want to help. Helping others must come from your heart and not from your mind. What for is your help if you will expect everything you have given and wait for a return. That is being selfish on a person if that would be the case.

For me the love for others i have all given is equivalent to the happiness i received in helping other people. Isn't it that would be a golden rule to follow.

I used to participate in sports quite a bit and I learned that if I left every ounce of effort out on the playing field then though I may have lost the contest I gained the dignity of knowing I couldn't have tried any harder. So to me the return is always there, it just might not be packaged the way we want it to be.

All you have given may not be returned in the place or by the people you have given to. But, it will be returned to you. And, you will know you've done your best. At least, this has always been part of my philosiphy of life.

Well, if you have the faith/trust that all you have given will be returned, only then dare to go ahead and renounce everything.
Otherwise, don't !
People who have dared to given their all had a trust/faith within that it would still comeback to them, in one form or the other.

No, you cant control events or others. Unless you are refering to karma of course in which case you would have faith in your good deed enough to know and believe in the goodness of all, which means you wouldn`t think on trust,.When you give youre all it should really be for the sake of giving, and the pleasure that will bring instead of waiting for something in return

When you have really given your all, I'm sure that there is no
expectation of a return.
Once you expect a return, you are lending, not giving.

Giving your all is not about expectations of return. It is giving because you can, and will. I believe it is the spirit of God working through you in love.

I don't understand how someone can even ask this question. The answer seems as simple as what is 2+2.

Obviously not! People are disappointed ALL THE TIME. You can give you all to someon who is unbalanced, to a mythical god, to someone who just doesn't care about you. Can u really not see that?
