I'm not pro or anti the McCanns, but would just have to say that a VAST majority of cases where children are killed or injured are proven to be the doing of family members. And I'm sure in virtually every single case, people who knew the wrongdoers chorused 'I can;t believe for one minute that XXXX would do that.'. What I find totally bemusing is the number of people who, based on nil personal knowledge of these people can believe so deeply in what they might, or might not do.

Why not?

Do you know them personally?

In crimes against children a staggering amount are committed by people the child knows and loves - parents, grandparents and other family or close friends.

Yes, to a normal person on the street this may seem ludicrous but In most cases the parents are the first suspects until ruled out by evidence which hasn't happened in this case as there is a distinct lack of evidence.

I'm not anti or pro McCann, I just want to see the case investigated properly and if this means questioning the parents again and again then that's what will have to happen.

A very baffling situation. If they have then like a lot of people I'm sure it must have been accidental. We have to assume that as the Portuguese Police are very economical with the information they give out they have some reason to think that Kate could be a suspect that they are not telling us.

I cant imagine anyone hurting their children under any circumstance. Although in the same breath I cant imagine anyone leaving children of that age on their own at home, let alone in a foreign country.

I have thought since the start, that Maddy woke up and went to look for her parents, where she went from there I have no idea, I hope and pray that her parents are not involved and that Maddy is alive and safe somewhere.

gosh i know some of the things the reports say are rubbish i suppose there will always be a chance that they did it but i think the police are only doing it to look like they are doing something because they cant to the real job and find the dweebs who have or had Maddie!
i do not think they killed there daughter but we will never know.

Even if we can believe for a minute, that happened many times before. I am not saying that it is true in this case, only that it is possible.
