The laws in Europe and Canada are like 18 to drink, Prostitution is legal is some parts and showing skin is alright to them. Why Can't the United states lessen its harsh laws, we should have way more freedoms.

These are not harsh laws. Drinking is blown way out of proportion. The effects of it are devastating to ones body. Some are worse that others, but getting hooked on beer or whatever your poison, can cause you to flunk out of school, have accidents with your car, & possibly kill yourself or others.
Showing skin?? The fashions for young people today is more free than when I grew up, in the 70's! What else do you want to show??
Prostitution?? How quickly do you want to die?? Gad, with all the diseases being passed around by sex, & I am not just taking about STD's. Do you have a death wish? Do you believe it could NEVER happen to you? I hate to tell you how many people feel like that & are sooo surprised when they die of aids, or kill someone with their car.
Here is the problem...children, & we were all children once, & it lasts a lot longer than you would want to believe, have little control over their urges, as you have demonstrated here. Teaching you to wait, to delay instant gratification, will actually help you when you actually do grow up. My guess is you are 17 or 18, & think that you are just so put upon. My advice is to enjoy your youth & being a child, don't fight it so much, because you will have to be an adult all too soon & for way too long. I really wished I hadn't moved out at 19, & I have been working ever since.
Rent comes before drinking money, or you don't have a place to live! Best of luck to you & I hope you learn better than most of us have!

The 2 examples you listed will likely never happen in the US. This is mostly because in the US, religion still controls the majority of people's thoughts. Canada and Europe are both more secular than the US.

I wouldn't necessarily calls those 2 laws harsh. I agree with the 21 drinking age. I've seen too many immature young people abusing their right to drink. While I don't think prostitution needs to be targeted as a major crime like many D.A.s believe I don't know if making it legal and regulating will solve any problems.

Over all the freedoms in the US out weigh any negative in my opinion.

Prostitution is legal in Nevada.. The reason why 21 in the USA because men got knighted at 21 in Europe. Yes I do wish you would lower the drinking age in the USA because I am sick of Americans coming across the border at 19 and 20 years old which can't handle the beer and start causing fights.
Also some provinces in Canada the drinking age is 19.
The question was reflected towards Canada and Europe not Africa.

Drinking was 18 years of age in many states and since our 18 year olds have cars they were killing themselves (which was OK) but they were killing other too. Let them drink, just don't let them drive till they are 21. Aids, Herpes, among other std's and you want prostitution legal? I don't think it will go away however right now we don't have a way to control it. Showing skin, heck go to a beach. I'm a fat old grandfather and this summer I took my grand kids to a local lake and really enjoyed the view. Had a hell of a time keeping my eyes on the kids.

When I was in Germany the drinking age is 16. I don't want that here. In some states the legal age of consent is also 16. So let's play Devil's advocate here for a minute.

Would you want your 16 year old daughter able to buy alcohol and have sex with guys twice her age?

Remember, with freedom comes responsibility.

It may happen, but it would require a major change in the political culture of the U.S. Right now, America is moving toward a more authoritarian culture; it will take years, maybe decades for this trend to be reversed.

Larry, that's why we are #1 and they are high as kites, have 4 day work weeks & we own all there car companies. You also have the freedom to get a passport & travel to Europe & Canada to indulge in drinking & whoring. Freedom is not free. The cost to you is DUI's & Herpes.....

you just want the ''party hearty'' laws relaxed...no worries about our system of laws which [seemingly] protect the innocent and require the State to prove guilt.
