I liked the book better. I hated that the movie didn't include her having to "sing" her way into the building. That was one of my favorite parts of the book.

Close call. I read the book a few years before I saw the movie, so I liked the movie more. I think Meryl was a better Miranda than the Miranda in the book, if that makes any sense.

Oh mi gosh! I didn't know there was a book. My favourite thing to do is read a book then watch the movie (or vice versa) and compare them! The book is always better though.

Who wrote the book "The Devil Wears Prada"? I HAVE to read it now! : )

Someone just said that Meryl Streep is a better Miranda than the Miranda in the book.
I agree. Meryl Streep IS the whole movie. You cannot read the book and imagine Miranda being any other way than how Streep portrayed her.

The book is better, there is just too much info and details that never makes it into the movie. The movie was good though, Meryl Streep was fantastic in her role!

Well, the book's kind of more interesting, the beginning and the order.... It's quite "light" though; the film was OK especially according to Meryl Streep's role...

The movie humanized Miranda by showing the price she paid for her success and that it was a choice. The book made her one dimensional - mean.
