There are a lot of disagreements and arguments about the validity of magnets, copper jewelery, and other "new age" things that are used on the outside of the body. Some say it's Psychosomatic, some say it's legit.

Magnets in general have a little more medical backing behind them because there is (and should be) metal in your system. The magnets attract the iron in your blood and help it move to that area, which should help your circulation.

Now, from physics class, the iron should theoretically stay around the magnets if they are powerful enough, but the magnets are very weak so the pressure of the blood actually pushes it past without much problem. It seems to work for many people that need increased circulation and don't want to take any pills for it.
