like that. I am trying upgrade my video card. nvidia 7300 gt. It works fine on wow and other things. The problem is videos, such as yahoo video. It locks up and wont play them. Any thoughs? Oh, yes I have the most current drivers for the card. I loaded and reloaded them twice.

It may not be the video card or your (video) drivers. There are a dozen or more other possible problems preventing it.

I have a (newish) computer, with some high-end parts (for the start of the year), and despite having installed QuickTime, WinMedia, and two other video decoding/dispaly programs I can NOT watch DVDs on my computer. So, I understand your "pain."

That having been said, try to find-out which program the site in question has the videos encoded with, and download that reader from a "Trusted" site!

Incidentally. if you're not a DX10 needer, the ATi 1950 (Pro or X models) run video playback and games better than anything in the 7X or earlier nVidia cards. (And give some of the 8X cards a serious run for their lives.) Only set you back about $150 if you can install it yourself, or have a friend whom can do it for you.
