I agree..it is frustrating even though I feel most people who get help don't abuse the system. I once applied for food stamps but was rejected (this was after I lost my job and I was unable to collect unemployment for a month because my employer had tried to say I was fired for misconduct instead of laid off needless to say my savings went quickly to my rent) I didn't eat for about two weeks so when I see situations when I hear stories like this, it does make me upset. I personally agree that food stamps should have more restrictions. It used to be for food from farmers like meat and produce. WIC controls what you can buy and I feel that food stamps should have restrictions too like no candy or soda.
