Brazil, then Holland, then Man U in 99.
What you forget to add about the gooners, is that they also perfected the art of cheating, underhand tactics and a whining annoying manager who just winds up the opposition!!

Absolutely no contest. Brazil 1970 best team ever. Arsenal good as they were and are, nowhere near best or most entertaining club team ever - Real Madrid of late 50s/60s and other eras, Ajax and AC Milan teams over the years. Certainly Celtic in 1967 where the magic of Jimmy Johnstone overcame the cynicism of Inter Milan, and later in 1970 when the same skills outplayed one of THE greatest English club sides Leeds United home and away.
You can hardly claim to rank Arsenal among these teams when they failed to take any European titles in that time. The teams who play the best football tend to win things.
I am just reading the answers and wondering what all the references are to Man U. in 1999? as in I don't remember them being that good or what they won, then I googled it and this of course was the side that was decent in a poor league until they met a better team,i.e.Bayern and were played off the park for 89 minutes. Even the most rabid supporter surely has to admit Man U. got out of jail, and a boxing referee would have stopped the fight after an hour. They were nowhere near the best Man U. team even!

Still Brazil. Thrashed Italy in the final 4-1. Holland great in '74. Should have won it.

Arsenal, Arsenal, Ar....senal, Arsenal.
These others were no cup games, or teams going on 7 or 8 game runs. The Arsenal were awesome, raising the bar, as Chelski have done, but without the injection of cash.

All three are very close but Holland 74 gets my vote because every player on the pitch could play in every position with just as much effect. It's part of the Dutch coaching mentality and when it works it's breathtaking.
