Only you can make these decisions...not one should control your life....your great aunt is not the one who is going to get married...it is you...

Your great aunt only loves you so just be patient with her. If your too young she is probably right you should date others. If your not then I would sit her down with your mom and have a nice talk with them. Don't get mad, just be kind and try to make them understand. She is also your GREAT Aunt so she is from an older generation and living together back then was a no no. Remember she is your blood and is only wanting the best for your future. If this gentleman is the best for your future then I would talk to both ladies and tell them to butt out of this relationship in the nicest way possible, then leave it at that. But stand your ground. Good luck

I think that you should listen to your family. You are 18 years old, that's much to young to think about marriage.Than there is the fact that you are asking strangers for advice which tells me that you really don't know what you are getting into.Look you have the rest of your life to get married and live a respectable (boring)life.Get out and have some fun, enjoy your youth.Remember changing diapers and living on a budget to save for a down payment on a house is no fun.Listen to your family.

Ignore her. If you are over 18, what you choose to do in life is all up to you. If you aren't emotionally strong enough to ignore her, then you aren't ready for marriage.
The same goes for your mom. She needs to tell your aunt to leave it alone. Who's life is it?

Tell your aunt this is the year of 2007 not back in her days, people changed, time changed. Don't let her control your life, respect her wishes but do you.
