When I see the first snow of winter. :)

If it doesn't snow much, same with the Coca-Cola ad! Seeing it makes me think that Christmas is right around the corner.

I start shopping around the end of October. I hate holiday crowds so I try to get it done. I don't really get into the spirit though until we start to decorate the house Thanksgiving weekend. This is our daughter's first Christmas in a house, so we probably go all out on the decorating, and hang lights up outside right after halloween, before it gets too icy and cold to be on the roof. We won't turn them on until we get snow though.
And the only chirch that really look forward to is the Christams Eve one.
I love Christmas in a place that has the seasons, spent the past two in California and it just didn't feel right.

I start feeling Christmassy during the beginning of December, I don't write cards or put my tree up until at least the first weekend of December, although having just said that, i noticed the 1st Dec is on a Saturday this year! So maybe my tree will be up that day!

it starts on the 23rd of December morning when I wake up. That's when I realize that I don't have to go to work and I am finally on my Christmas break. All the ceremonies before that with all the shops and street lights etc is inconsequential because am still working...
