Ok well i saw them make a sofa type of thing. They get a mattress and put fabric over it and i dont know how they finished it. i dont know if they made a frame or if they did something else.

Does someone know how to make this.

It might be known as a FUTON commercially. As much as I enjoy the DIY shows; it's TV,,,not reality.

Obviously if one wanted a piece of "furniture" that equated to a sofa; some type of framework should be considered.

A normal mattress is not going to flex in the middle for one thing; allowing a seat and back. Especially an InnerSpring mattress. A FUTON mattress (gads I hate those things) is filled with any number of scrap type materials allowing that it does have a back and seat.

If aesthetics arent an issue at all; why not just get a GOODWILL sofa, and buy some fabric you can live with; using it as a "Throw"

Go to HGTV.com and type in the name of the program you were watching; then go to that web site and click on whatever "room" they were doing. Go from there.
