Help... for well over a year now I have been experiencing a problem. Once I shaved my hair from around my bottom checks I caught a small part of my bottom skin... a slight cut, but it never seems to heal. What can I do?

Your doctor has seen millions of hairy arses-what makes yours any different?

Although not caused in the usual manner; what you have is known as an anal fissure;
here is some info on how to treat it:

In most cases the fissure will heal within a couple of weeks, and the only treatment that may be necessary is help with the pain and to keep the faeces soft whilst the fissure heals.

You should take warm baths and take painkillers (paracetamol) if necessary, but avoid painkillers containing codeine as these often cause constipation. You should eat lots of fibre by eating fruit, vegetables, cereals, brown rice, wholemeal bread, etc. If necessary, you can also take bran, or other fibre supplements (bulk-forming laxative), which you can buy from your pharmacist.

You should drink plenty of water and avoid too much tea and coffee as these can make constipation worse.

You can get an ointment that contains a local anaesthetic on prescription from your doctor or over the counter from your pharmacist to reduce pain and inflammation. You should only use this for a few days at a time, as it can irritate the skin around your anus.

You can also get an ointment that contains a steroid on prescription from your doctor. This will reduce swelling and inflammation around your anus. You should not use this for longer than a week at a time.

Glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) can be used for the treatment of chronic anal fissures. This ointment should be applied to the skin around your anus three times a day. It helps to relax your anal muscle, reduce pain, relieve the spasm of the muscles and improve the blood supply to the fissure. The most common side effect is headache.

Some people require a minor surgical operation to cure a chronic anal fissure. The most commonly used operations to treat anal fissures are an internal sphincterotomy (cutting the internal anal muscle) or anal dilatation (stretching the internal anal muscle). These procedures are carried out in hospital under general anaesthetic. Surgery is very effective, but carries a small risk of some degree of incontinence (of faeces or wind), although this may improve with time.

If your bowel habits have recently changed or you have been losing weight and have blood in your faeces, you should seek medical advice, as these symptoms could be due to a more serious condition.

You need to suck it up and go see your doctor! Plenty of people shave and I am sure it is not the first time your doctor has seen this type of thing! A wound that is not healing needs to be treated and I assume that you do not want an infection to travel around your bottom half!!!!! Please go see your doctor...this really could signal something more serious!!!!!

The doctor will have seen all this before , and much more embarrassing situations !!
You have probably got the wound infected and it will take a course of anti biotic tablets , and or cream to sort it out
Don't wait any longer in embarrassment , go to the doc now and get it cured
Good Luck , and take care with that razor in future !!

lol dont worry man this is a very simple problem to fix. First off no more shavy shavy till its fixed. Second thats naturally a sweaty more germy area so make sure you clean it well and often. Third use somethin like neosporin or antibiotic ointment on the cut and in a week or so you will be golden. Then feel free to cut yourself again!

Use some neosporin ointment and a bandaid. And quit shaving there and it will heal up. If it doesn't after a month, see a doctor, no reason to be miserable.

It probably hasnt because there is constant moisture back there. Use some neosporin and get in a position where it can absorb.....wear cotton briefs as opposed to boxers maybe.....However, a year is a long time and you should really have a doctor check it out.

OUCH!!! Next time try using veet for bikini lines.
If i were you (thankfully I'm non..lol) i would make sure it is always dry, use talc if you have too to dry up any moisture. This will hopefully help it to heal. If you do use any waxing treatments in the future, make sure you don't get any in the cut, that will really bad.

first off I would be more embarassed to post it here than to go to a doctor.
You need to get it looked at by a medical professional, it could pick up bacteria from your bum and get seriously infected. Not to mention the possiblility to getting something from a toilet seat from sitting on it, not just public ones, the one in your own home has germs on it too.

Please overcome your embarrassment and go to a doctor
