So the girl died accidentally and they staged a big abduction case, while they figure out what to do with her (hence the hire car), but five weeks after the event is what i dont understand.
Its a big thing to be accused of, but do you think Gerry is covering for Kate. She has always looked more worried than him. He looks to calm to me.
These blood results dont look to good either.

They can sue me if they want. I live in the real world and im not swallowing all this innocent little act, going into churches, going to see the pope. I have the right to think what i like. If they had acted like 'normal' parents in the very beginning, i may think different.

I've refrained from getting involved in questions about this until reading todays news. Now even I'm starting to wonder.
I think its either going to be the Portugese police desperately trying to bail themselves out of their shoddy investigation in front of worldwide media, by apportioning blame elsewhere,
or there really is something in the accusations. There are all sorts of possibilities, such as maybe they got back that night and poor maddy had suffered some sort of accident, and to escape blame the McCanns invented a cover story?? Who knows, we dont have all the information from the time of the event so its all way too sketchy to make a judgement. However, something somewhere is not right and the sooner someone, be it the police, or the McCanns, tell the whole truth, the better for everyone. I thought the british police were involved too now though?? It'll all come out eventually one way or another.

With all the questions and answers on Yahoo, we could write a good thriller. Bet a film comes out of this.
I think it's best to wait and see. How awful to find these parents are not involved in the abduction after all the speculation going on.
There is much about the case that is making people speculate, it doesn't help that we get snippets of information and our minds puts it into perspective (blood in the car, Maddie must have been hurt - smell of cadaver on the mothers clothes and childs toy, Kate must have held her dead child)....... I've done it myself...but...I'm tired and want to wait now.

People keep saying where did they hide her body. They didnt call the police for 2 hours. Their friends could be accomplices as well. The ocean was right next to them. During that 2 hour seach anyone could have easily slipped out in the hire car and done something. With all the caos people may have not noticed someone was not accounted for. Who knows. Who knows if what we are hearing on the news is accurate either anymore.

Interesting lesroys. Seeing that the alleged time Madeleine was last seen was reported as:-
1 Being collected from the creche at 6pm
2 At 6:30 by CCTV cameras with gerry and o'brien at a restaurant.

I don't know what to think anymore, but i would have thought that the Portugese police, having had such a bad press so far, would not want to make any big mistakes at this stage. So is there something in today's events? We'll just have to wait and see. And hope that whatever is going on, it will be a step nearer to closure on this story.

Until Maddie is found (and I hope alive, the poor child), we will not know what has happened. But the parents have been acting strangely since it happened. I've been wondering why only one child was taken (I believe that there were three in the room?), and why the twins didn't kick up a fuss if there was a stranger in the room?

It's an interesting theory - but because the length of time and the way the investigation are being made, the McCanns and the police have left themselves wide open to speculation, gossip and just general make believe.
We shouldn't be so quick to judge even though the evidence is starting to look a bit dodgy.

I don't think she died accidental.I believe that they killed her or had her killed for some reason, and then freaked out and tried to cover it up.If they find them guilty they should get the same as that poor little girl. They found her blood in a rental car they rented after reporting her missing.I just pray to God that little girl didn't suffer.

Martin Brunt of Sky News said something very telling this morning - that the police believe the "incident" took place on the AFTERNOON of May 3rd.

They slipped her a 'Mickey' to get her off to sleep so that they could go out for the evening.
Probably did the same to the twins too. There is no way I can get my two year old off to sleep by 7pm or whatever time it was when they went out. They would have had a sleep in the creche on the afternoon as well. When my toddler has a sleep at his nursery, he's up 'till 9pm! It's a nightmare to get him settled down.
