everytime i plug in the cable, it says " limited or no connectivity". what happened? what should i do?
i've tried to repair my ip add but it failed. my friends also failed to connect to internet through cable. only can online by wireless.please help me...T_T i cant play online game...

i've restarted the modem. but it still doesnt work.and i dont know what kind of wire im using now -_-'' sorry about that.the wire is not the problem.i've tried with other wire but the result is still the same.helppppp

restart your router or modem by switching off then switching on again..then repair ip..see if you can ping a url on the run command type ping www.yahoo.com -t and see if it can get a response if non contct your isp.

First, unplug the modem for a few moments, and plug that back in. You didn't directly mention Wireless Router, so let's assume. Unplug the router for a few moments and plug that back in. Now try to connect wirelessly again. (since that worked).

Now try to plug in the wire again. If the Repair IP address fails again, I might suspect a bad Ethernet cable. Or maybe you set the IP to a fixed address, so it won't ASK the router for an assignment.

Maybe you need a new router. Try this one from NewEgg:

Are you plugging the cable into the same router that is providing the wireless connection? In general, wire is easier to set up a connection than wireless. What kind of wire are you using?

Your System Admin might have disabled the wired NIC. You have to have Admin. rights to change this.
