To paraphrase Aldois Huxley: "It is only in the abstract that the contributions of the individual can approach zero; in everyday life as it is lived day-to-day, the individual is all-important".

True in life, true in elections.

The answer to this question can be differant with the differant kind of elections. For something that just involves counding indavidual votes then yes it would. However when it comes to the Presidential voting system then i would have to say a big no.
There have been presidents who have less votes by the individual person, but had enough of the states with the most electoral college votes that they won anyway, even though the other guy had more total votes when it came down to the indavidual. Apperantly some states are more important when it comes to electing a president, usually the more popular ones like California, Flordia, ect. While Rural states like Missouri, Alaska, and a lot of other states combined can barely match one of the states I listed earlier.

Apparently there's some twit out there who wants us to believe the vote doesn't count, but he doesn't have the courage to say it, just goes around putting thumbs down.

I know my vote counts. A couple of years ago, my town was involved in a nasty recall vote where the established politicos who had lost the last election were trying to get the elected ones kicked out. My husband and I wanted them to stay. We were running late and barely made it to the polling place on time. The next day we learned that we had won by 2 votes!

It can only make a difference depending upon who is doing the counting and whose votes are actually being counted and whose votes are being disregarded! When most of the voting populace finally realizes that there is wide spread election fraud and vote tampering going on in every state then they will turn on the elected officials and it won't be a pretty sight! Your vote will count only if they chose to count it!

You are just being stupid.

If you take one vote out of the picture, no it does not make a difference.

If you take the majority out of the picture, yes it makes a difference.

Hence, every vote counts, because it is part of the majority.

I used to think my vote made a difference, until the last two presidential elections...now we know they can be rigged, so what's the point in voting?

NO, why? I worked the polls 1 year, and we had to hand count the ballots. They announced the winner before we even finished. They will never convince me it isn't rigged.

My vote will count, unless they us the Diebold machines, which can easily be hacked and screw the vote up.
