This morning I woke up to an interview on the news with the president of Syria Mr. Al-Assaad I believe his name is.. Anyway he spoke of the border and how he supports the US but feels that the US is ineffective.WAIT Let me tell you why. This man has taken in 1.5 million refugees in his country. These persons consist of widows and orphans. He is now dealing with child labor and prostitution in his country because persons have no means of support. He feels that if the US is not going to make any positive decisions to the economy that they need to leave. Meanwhile their country is filled with refugees and is a desperate situation. Also I would like to make a note that Osama Bin Laden is proposing a new video this week to pry on the weak and misfortunate in this area Do you feel it is time to reconstruct the area before it breeds any more hatred ? Do you feel that we could begin building factories in Iraq near the Syria border to assist in distribution of supplies and begin a labor force?

Calum a withdrawal and an apology what is that? I'm sorry we destroyed your country my mistake atitude won't work We have now established a serious problem in that area that needs the best minds in the world to assist persons who otherwise will pass the hatred to the next generation and maybe you will be in Iraq or wherever next. You get it .

Regerruged? What would be a better idea. Syria is taking these persons in and feeding them while we do nothing but drop bombs and cry out that the Iraqi government is not effective fast enough for us to get out. Osama will have a field day with these persons. What do you thinking?

2007-09-07 01:30:50 · update #5

De bossey one, I am naive thats why I ask for assistance. The more minds I have to help me the stronger the idea. What are you thinking?

Cantcu, What are you talking about Geneva Convention? I don't understand.
Anyway we are talking about persons living in desperate areas and would rather be a suicide bomber than attempt to survive because the opportunities of survival are meek and they feel to make a difference they must make a statement of death. We need to iniate a statement of life...

zahid They were maybe married to terrorists who decide to take the easy way out and blow themselves up okay I do not think hatred is the answer but constructive thinking to benefit persons who have lived and survived the lunacy of 9-11 atitudes and the war in Iraq. They didn't blow up NY So now what?

2007-09-07 02:02:19 · update #8

Washington Irving you sell the US short. Iran and Syria will only establish a hate belt in that region which will not assist anyone because of the limitation of their mentalities. Do you realize the US has some of the most intellegent persons who are trained in technology and construction and human science but we should walk away and tend to 'America only.

Our president doesn't even care what his own people think or about our military personnel. Why would he care about the people of Iraq. This is all about the oil! This administration has already been giving the oil industry all the pertinent info about the direction bush is going to take in Iraq. Kind of a heads up for big oil. Osama Bin Laden? Don't hear about him anymore. He served his purpose. He help sell the idea of a war in Arabia. His job was done.

- Deploy UN peace keepers.
- Withdraw US troops.
- Invite regional cooperation. The Saudis and Iran will compete to throw money into Iraq.
-Pay reparations or wait for the ICC to rule on reparations and then pay them. Either way, the US' unjustified attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq will be tried in an international court, with or without US consent. If the US desires not to loose even more of its international stature it ought to start handing out the dough.

Peace.

PS: al-Assad may not be a saint, but he still accepted a few hundred thoudand Iraqi refugees. How many Iraqi refugees has the US accepted?

Bashar Assad is a main part of the problem in Iraq. He sends terrorists to fight and do suicide bombing. And you believe him? I don't think so.
The problem in Iraq are the terrorists who are fighting and killing their own kind. If no one was fighting the US military, the US would leave, and Iraq could develop their oil reserves.
Factories are a dumb idea. Look at all of the Middle East. The only people who work for a living are the Israelis.

We should be doing what the Geneva Conventions require us to do. That is to keep them safe (what a laugh that one is) and to provide food, medicine and necessities!

Bush doesn't believe in the Constitution, much less the Geneva Conventions and he only thinks others should have to go by UN Resolutions!

to be honest i think yours is a very good question. to be blunt i dont think america has the ware with all to change anything and the presant goverment is as inept as possible. it will get far worse untill some one witth a real plan shows up . the first part of it should be total with drawl, the second part is an apology, and the third is to pay to rebuild.. and do it!!!!

and punish bush to show the world what we do to criminal behaviour

you are truly naive about the political/social/economic situation in the middle east. the syrians foment unrest by allowing the crossborder activity of the insurgents in iraq. his proposal about building factories is what we consider a givaway to enhance his standing. if assad wants to better the conditions of any iraqis, he can build the factories (which he would never do anyway) and take all th credit he wants. as for the conditions of any refugees, if he's so concerned about them, let him do something about it. let him feed them, clothe them, build them some schools, build them homes, and factories to work in. if he is such a great humanitarian, let him prove it by spending a few billion of his oil revenues for the benefit of those "poor, abused, iraqis" he is so concerned about. (it'll be a cold day in hell, too, when he does!)

Isn't Syria the same country that is a staging ground for the terrorist before they enter Iraq to blow up things and kill people?

To me the most important part of the question is ,
"This man has taken in 1.5 million (1500,000) refugees in his country. These persons consist of widows and orphans",

WHO MADE THESE PEOPLE WIDOWS AND ORPHANS ?????
USA OR ISRAEL ???

I think if we had been taking care of the poor, the weak, the disenfranchised, etc in the middle east, instead of leaving it to militant groups like hamas and hezbollah, we'd be in a different place.

Loyalty always goes to the folks that put chicken in the pot.
