No. They will have tough games against Penn State and Wisconsin. And they haven't figured out a way to beat Ohio State since Jim Tressel has been coach, winning only once in six tries since Tressel has been coach.

I'm not sure they can. Let's just look at facts here:
Last year, their defense was touted as one of the best in the nation (if not THE best). Whilst on this current 3-game losing streak (OSU, USC and App. State) they have given up over 108 pionts. Some argue that it's b/c they lost 7 starters, BUT they still had those 7 for the last two games of the season. That dog doesn't hunt. People are just making excuses for the fact that with all this so-called "talent" they are being outplayed.
On the offense, Henne only completed half of his passes. HALF. In the classroom, that would be failing. Manningham, Arrington and Hart were all fairly quiet last week....I think Manningham only caught two passes for 20 yards before the 46 yard strike late in the game.
Seriously. If that is any indication of what the season will be like, they are in big trouble. Even if they play that badly for a half of a game, there's no way they'll run the table and win the Big Ten title. NO WAY. Not only will they have to beat some formidable opponents, but they will have to beat them with some impressive numbers (scores). And then there's always two teams standing in their way right now: OSU and Wisconsin.
I think a few oopponents will give them trouble: Penn State. Even though they play in Ann Arbor, U of M only beat them by 7 points last year. Penn State has been know to be a spoiler of sorts when it comes to big games. That one will be on my picture in picture. :-)
Purdue's Dorien Bryant should make the Wolverines nervous. He is leading the charge on his team as far as productice offense is concerned and also has a lot of top stats in the Big Ten conference. If the defense lacks their rythmn for even 15 minutes, it's possible that he could make some major plays on them.
Then of course, at the end of the season, you have two of the wrost back-to-back teams to play: Wisconsin and OSU. The maize and blue must travel to Wisconsin to face the Badgers and then they're at home against OSU; but the past has proved that they don't have that much of an advantage at home against the Bucks b/c they still lose. Just the mental anguish of the fact that this senior class has NEVER defeated Tressel's crew (and the prospect of them not doing it this year) could take them out of that game before November even gets here.

Well, that's my $0.02. I really don't see them doing much of anything as far as a rally this year. Now that they've been humbled a bit, perhaps they can concentrate on playing football instead of jawing at people after every play.

As a Purdue student, while I hope Purdue will win the Big Ten (they won't), Michigan really does have one of the best chances. I think it's safe to assume that Michigan won't be looking past anybody for the rest of the season. If they play to their talent level, the opener against Penn State will probably be one of only three legitimate chances to lose (the others being Wisconsin and Ohio State). If they can knock off JoePa then they really could be 11-1 and end up in the Rose Bowl with a loss to Appy State. But let's just wait and see how that PSU opener goes.

Just because Michigan is the "big" 10 team that got exposed last week doesn't mean their quality in relationship to the rest of the conference has changed. Ohio State will get exposed in a couple weeks in Washington.

This is a down year for the formally mighty "big" 10 and their out of conference record at the end of the year will show it.

I can't wait to see what happens if the Wolverines whip the Buckeyes at the end of the year. Nothing that has happened this weekend has any bearing on that game, or the rest of the season.

Until they lose to another lil' 11 team, they are still the team to beat.

I think it will come down to Michigan vs. Wisconsin to decide it. I think right now, Wisconsin is the favorite, but Michigan has something to prove. I'd say right now, so early in the season, the two teams are more or less equal, even though Michigan lost to App. St.

I think they would have an easier time trying to part the Red Sea as Moses did. Miracles do happen but Michigan running the table is a lot to ask for.

No, they'll lose at least two, at Wisconsin and one other, but they won't lose to Penn State, because they never lose to Penn State.

For the record, every other Big Ten team with the exception of Indiana has beaten Michigan at least once since Penn State last did it in 1996.

No because Michigan has a little (or really big) obstacle in facing the Wisconsin Badgers. Unfortunately, Michigan isn't going to beat the Badgers this year.

Go Badgers!!!

No. after their stunning first time in history loss to Appalachian State, they can run the conference, but will invevitably lose to Ohio State as they have the past 3 years.... Also watch out for Iowa & Wisconsin this year to spank them.

GO BUCKS!!!! MICHIGAN SUCKS!!!
