Why Madeline and not the other children ?
I just dont get it its so strange !!!

I reckon they sedated her so she would sleep and when they returned she had died so they hid the body and made up the farce of the kidnapping. They have been suspicious all along...

The whole thing has been strange from day one. I just hope that they will finally get to the bottom of this whole thing, bring whoever is responsible to justice and find Madeline one way or another.
If it was Madelines parents and they have been lying all along, on top of their crime, look at all the money that has been spent on the investigation as a result. Could they really be so stupid in this day and age to think they would get away with it?

Perhaps it was an accidental death. I don't for one minute think that they killed her deliberately but if it was an accident and they panicked because their careers and reputations would be in tatters if it came out and the twins would possibly be put into care then false abduction would be the only way of covering it up. One lie inevitably led to another. Since the sniffer dogs went in and found the scent of a dead body on Kates jeans and blouse and the cuddle cat they know who killed Maddie but without a body or a confession there are only strong indications and indications aren't enough to prosecute.

Speculation is one thing, but it's best to be careful with any accusations until more facts are avaiable or formal charges are made. While you or anyone else may not be a country where libel proceedings could be taken, Yahoo is. In England, the web-site managers can be held equally liable for damages if defamation is proven.

seeing as the portugese police had very little to do with the D.N.A testing (as far as im aware) it can be safe to assume that this isn't some means of covering their own incompetence as some ppl hav suggested (apart from which why was kate so scared of becoming a suspect this time and not all the other times she was questioned, surely that interview could have been for any number of things.). plus i believe that the mccans (guilty or not) shouldve been made suspects straight away, simply because they are likely suspects

Why on earth would somebody hold someones child for that long?This is pure torture of mind for both child and parents.I take this opportunity to request those holding young Madelines to release her unconditionally to her parents.They have suffered enough.Can they hear the voice of God and release her?Our prayers are with the child and her parents.

I gave my dogs prescription from the vet to calm them down for a long journey. One dog became very very dozy, her heart rate slowed down near to stopping. Luckily, I was there.
I'm not saying the McCanns did this, I wasn't there I don't know. I just read all your other answers and my experience came to mind.
The McCanns are doctors you know, and would have access to drugs of all kinds.

i don't know but i sincerely hope that neither the mother or the father had anything to do with her disappearance. (although i do agree there behaviour has been rather unusual)
could you even imagine how scared Maddie would have been if she was abducted by strangers, let alone harmed by her own parents!!!!

if kate had something to to with the death of her daughter it would be dreadful. i dont believe she had anything to do that awful crime ...if at al maddy is dead, hopefully maddie is alive . kate and gerry are guilty of neglect but i hope that is all..for the sake of the other two kids...

People believe a accident happened to maddie while they were dinning and the mccanns covered it up
