When I was younger I loved the hustle and bustle of the city. After being raised in a small country town, the Gold Coast, Queen Street in Brisbane and The Valley were so cosmopolitan to me.
For a while I found it an energetic and stimulating environment to live and work in.
The pace outdistanced me however, now I'm older I love a quiet, more laid-back life.

Eric you understand don't you, that the rushing people of the city are the very same peaceful people of the suburbs on the weekends?
You can enjoy both worlds.
I'm a self-employed, manufacturer of soft-furnishings. Working from home, where it is (usually) peaceful.

some countries have overpopulation, and where there is overpopulation naturally lots of people will be riding the metro and brushing past each other on the streets. Peaceful is not the opposite of rushing, but I understand what you are saying. I want to take a guess that the word may be more like does a person like "clutter" or not. I don't know if that is ingrained but it could be something people get used to as they are growing up that they either like clutter or not.

I did not grow up with clutter (or lots of people around) so I'm not used to crowds although if I want to see a special concert I will do that. My occupation is to have a peactful life.

In my business, a world of rushing people is very common, everyone trying to be the smartest sounding in ideas when they are around me, but what I prefer are those people that are quiet, peaceful and calm when everyone else is close to chaos and near panic!

This is how I select my managers and my executive staff, I want a team that is calm, cool and collective at all times,
