I would use Maddie if that is what you are going to call her. Whats the point of naming her Madeleine or Maddison only to call her Maddie. Personally I think its a little unimaginative for a name but if you like it then go for it. Its not a bad name.

Maddie is a wonderful name! It's up to you what to name your child. Wouldn't you think too that Sam would be short for Samantha? But Tiger Woods used it as a first name for his daughter Sam Alexis. Just be sure to add a second name to Maddie.

Maddie is English nickname for Madeline, which is Greek (Magdalene). If you don't like Madeline, choose from among these English variations: Madaleine, Madalena, Madelon, Madlen, Madlin, Magdala, Magdalen, Magdalene, Malena, Malina, Marleen, Marlene or Marline.

My beautiful 6 week old niece is Maddie Tess.
I think it is legitimate, I like it shortened. A lot of people are doing it!

I don't think there's any rules for names these days. My Maddi is short for Maddison, but very rarely gets called by her full name.
Maddie is a great name.

I would use Madison or Madeleine, Maddie just wouldn't look right on the birth certificate. Good luck and God bless!

You could name your kid Maddie but it is usually a short form of Madeline (Madelyn, Madalyn, Madaleine, Madalene ...)

Like Abby is usually short for Abigail but there are some people just called Abby ...
