When I first glanced at it, I thought it was supposed to be Carlyle, and the second "L" was missing (but that was just me glancing quickly at the name).

Now that I look at it, I'm not sure if it's Car-lie or Car-lee?

If it's Car-lie, I like the spelling--->Carlye better than the alternate spellings listed. Those other spellings look very confusing. "Karliey" really looks as if it would be pronounced like Car-lee.

It's a pretty name, but I think people will have to think twice before pronouncing it.

Like Carly...Car-lee
I had a teacher whose name was Carlye and that's how she pronounced it. I think it's weird though - there are "alternate" spellings that aren't so confusing.
Karlie
Karlee
Carlee
Carlie
etc.

But Karliey, Karlyehe, Carlyeyh is strange...

I'd pronounce it like Kanye West's name.

Car-Lay

Just go with Carlie, Carly, Karlie, Kharli, Karly. The other spellings are unforgiveable [that's not good but I'm not gonna be mean].

You pronounce it "car-lee". I would definitely spell it Carly though, every other way would only hurt your child. Everyone would spell it wrong, trust me, there's a girl name Bryannah in our class, pronounced the same as Brianna, and she hates it as everyone spells it wrong and mispronounces it. Hope this helps!

I would still pronounce it like Carly. Sometimes people ad e's on the end of names like that and they are still pronounced as if it was "ey". E.g. Bettye, Billye, Wendye.

I think it's silly though! And it think the pronunciation you're going for is more like Carl-EYE. Maybe Carligh then?

I would pronounce it Car lee. went to school with a girl named Carlie so it automatically said the same for me.

Exactly how many butchered spellings of Carly are you trying to come up with? Just curious.

"Carl eye"

I answered your other question with 'Carlia' but it seems you have a pretty distinct pronunciation in mind for your daughter - something closer to "Carl yay" (or maybe "Carl ee ay")

If that's right, then I would spell it just like that - Carlyay
(I googled that spelling and found a few people with that name - I hope that doesn't put you off! Good luck)

I saw it as "car-lie" as in " she told a lie.."

If you are going for the 'eee' or 'eeaa' sound I would spell it
Carly / Carley
Carlea / Carlia

All those e's , y's and h's are too confusing I think

Hope that helps ~ best of luck ~
