Rubbing alcohol does wonders. It dissolves dirt and oils, and dries without a residue, and you've probably already got some in your medicine cabinet.

Just pour a bit onto a paper towel and gently wipe down the screen.

And use the same method (with a Q-Tip, with the computer off) to clean your keyboard.

In both cases, don't use so much that you drown your poor little machine!

nvr go for wet coz the more time u use wet tissues or watever u r decreasing the efficiency of the screen if it is lcd. best thing use a lean and dry cloth and wipe it gently .that will do to get rid of fingerprints. if urs is not a touchscreen u can go and buy a screen protector. works well.

use a non detergent cloth to wipe out finger marks and stains. Dont use wet cloths as a single drop of water might get in the system which might cause a spark or a computer failur.

Avoid Brillo pads and shoe polish, I bought a tub of 100 screen wipes from Dixons they work a treat... anti static tissues which contain Isopropyl alcohol and pure water.

I use a pc screen cleaner brand name Fellowes. If you are in uk they sell it at Tesco but I guess you can get it at any pc world or electrical supplies. They are dry wipe cloths and a pump spray that is alcohol free and anti static and does'nt streak.

A damp cloth will do just fine, most of the chemical cleaning products will actually destroy your screen so avoid them at all costs.

most of the cleaning fluids simply make the screen worse but this one is number 1.
Dont listen to this advice of using Alcohol unless you want to damage your screen completely!
