I think the atlantic will be a competitive division this year. that division has New Jersey, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Toronto.
The Raptors won the division title last season and have the tools to retain the crown this year. New York and Boston shaped up their respective rosters to be top contenders in the East. The Nets, meanwhile, will rely anew with Kidd, Carter and Jefferson but brought along a big man in Jamaal Magloire. But the 76ers will have its youngsters to give rough challenge o their opponents.
this will be an interesting division to look out this season.

It should be very competitive. All of the division's teams, besides the 76ers, have a shot at going deep into the Eastern Conference playoffs if everything falls into place for them.
The Nets are returning their trio of Kidd, Carter and Jefferson. A healthy Krstic will provide a nice post presence, and second year UConn products Williams and Boone will help out off the bench (assuming Boone doesn't win the PF job). However, this team always has injury problems, especially with Krstic and Jefferson, and Kidd is aging.
The Celtics obviously look a lot different this year, with Allen and Garnett being added to the team. Still, besides them and Pierce, there are depth issues on this team. If Allen can stay healthy and the bench can come together, this team can go places. They better, because they traded their future for Garnett.
The Knicks started to come together last season but fell apart down the stretch due to injuries. The roster has been remade with young players who play their hearts out, and while the addition of Randolph makes the team more lethal on offense, it could hurt them on defense. Crawford is also a defensive liability if he starts.
The Raptors are headed in the right direction, but was last season a fluke? They lost Peterson but signed Kapono to replace him. Bosh and Bargnani form an excellent frontcourt, but they don't have a great scorer on the perimeter. And while Ford will probably start at PG, is Calderon a better player?
The 76ers probably won't compete this season, but they have a bright future, starting with Igoudala, who broke out after the Iverson trade last year.

The division has been competitive the last few years because most of the teams in it have been almost equally bad, but there should be some nice competition this year at least between Boston and Toronto, with New Jersey possible contending as well.
