The way Murat was treated and depicted by the press was terrible.
So, with that in mind, Kate has not been found guilty, but only named as a suspect like Murat. However tempting it is to point the finger and venom towards her and Gerry we should let due process happen.
Trial by court, not trial by public opinion.
Not a question, I know, but thought it was worth saying.

Yes it is worth saying and worth repeating 'we should let due process happen ... not trial by public opinion'.
Thanks

I'm afraid people all have opinions.
Gerry and Kate Mac Cann made this a high profile case by their own hand. They have been very vocal and have taken a great deal of public money into a private fund. If proven to be implicated in their child's death the sympathy they whisked up will turn to hate.
Most parents who lose children don't ever go into a media frenzy, one they engineered themselves. They grieve alone at home. Had the MacCann's done this we would'nt be talking about this subject now.
They brought "Trial by Public Opinion" on themselves. Don't blame the public.
The police and the Court are not concerned with public sentiment, but with evidence. They are professional people and unbiased.

Err....not being funny here but plenty of venom was directed at Robert Morat - and encouraged by the McCanns themselves who seemed pretty pleased someone had been named a suspect.
Pro McCanns seem to be very nobel all of a sudden before they were beratting anyone who even so much as wondered whether or not they were involved. I dont know and still dont know but I have had plenty of abuse for asking questions about it.
So stick the 'let's all not be too hasty here' where the sun don't shine - plenty of judgments about people have been made on here by both sides so you can't just change the plan now Kate is a suspect.

I hear what you're saying but this whole case stinks and has done from the very beginning.
The idea that this little girl was randomly abducted by a total stranger was unlikely from the start, most crimes are perpetrated by someone close to the victim.
And please don't pretend that two apparently "intelligent" doctors would have seen fit to leave children alone and unattended the way they did. Something is being covered up here although obviously we don't know what.

IF The McCanns did not have a hand in the disapperance of Maddie that night they still derserve to be prosecuted for neglect.
Also does anyone know if the rest of the party that the McCann were with and dining with did any of them leave their children alone too in the evenings or was it just the McCanns out of interest?

I totally agree, trial by court, not public opinion!. Although I am disgusted in them for leaving their children in the first place, and have thought there have been many things that didn't add up in this case, we mustn't forget she is (at the moment) only a suspect. She has not been charged and until such time as she is, we must not get carried away in all this "I told you so" melarchy!.

it somewhat is probable the 1st good element ive seen published at right here in fairly a whilst Dan, and whilst guffawing on the Newco and wishing Charles green might STFU you're in certainty the final option that Fergus in no way have been given the accolade or credit he deserved so definite, i think of for Celtic to ask him decrease back to unveil the Championship flag in front of 60,000 followers may be impressive. such as you stated Dan, the place might we be if it hadnt been for him......additionally he introduced in Wim Jansen who then introduced in Larsson, he merits the thank you for that by myself.

I totally agree with you. I'm not thinking anything at the mo...so many times the breaking news has got me thinking this will lead somewhere, Maddie will be found....but then nothing. Same will probably happen again this time.

But don't you think it is highly significant that this very public questioning comes immediately after the results of the dna tests from the apartment have been confirmed?

I agree but sadly some people are salivating at the thought of them being charged and they have them classed as guilty by public opinion.
