The only large city in the US I've been to is New York, which I enjoyed, but see no perpose in going back to, I was there for 6 days and think I coverered most of it. Where else would you suggest visiting? I'm a 18 year old lone male traveller, bare that in mind, but I have no problem in New York.

Seattle is a city that comes to mind, but I'm not really sure what's there tbh. All I know of it the Kurt Cobain stuff which is based around there, but tbh, I'm in no way a big enough fan to make a pilgrimage to Aberdeen in aid of him, I think he's overrated and no one would care about him today if he hadn't have killed himself, he'd have faded into the background, but that's going off the point :P.

So, any advice on which US citiy to visit? Thanks

San Diego, definitely!!!
The weather is wonderful, there's the zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, and great night life, especially down in the Gaslamp Quarter. Also close to Tijuana.

If your making a pilgrimage to a place for rock and roll, then Seattle isn't a bad choice. Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix are both from the area, Jimi is buried in Renton - southern burb of Seattle. Not sure about Kurt's whereabouts.

University Ave was the birthplace of the whole grunge scene. So you can check that out, then there are the other touristy things in the area - Pikes Place Market, Space Needle, Boeing, waterfront, ferry rides to other islands, lots of good restaurants. But, Seattle is not even close to as interesting as NYC.

For a more interesting west coast city, I would go to San Francisco. Lot's to see in SF and surrounding area. SF is IMHO the best choice on the west coast. LA would be second, particularly if your into the whole rock and roll scene. Hanging on Hollywood Blvd at night is an experience. You could see tapings of TV shows if your into that.

If you have a fake ID and you can pull it off - Vegas baby!

You don't say where you are now so I guess distance isn't a factor.
As far as things to do, cities I have been to which would hold a lot of appeal for an 18 year old man would be Washington DC, Chicago,Memphis,New Orleans, Albuquerque, St. Louis, Las Vegas, San Diego and LA.

You have to come to Colorado sometime, especially in the winter to ski or board. I suggest checking out places like Aspen and Vail, and dropping by Denver.

Visit Miami, Florida. Now that's the place to be right there, except during hurricane season, lol.
