I, as one of many, have never supported the McCann parents, I found their actions very questionable and because of which, me and others who beleive the same have been called several unpleasant names...
If the circumstances wasn't so tragic, it would call for an 'I told you so'
In short, those who have felt like I have right from the start, is this justice being served too overdue?
This doesn't go out to redneck hate mongers either, who just accuse everyone for everything for the sake of being a git.

Those of us who suspected the parents have been called pedophiles, perverts and lots of other unrepeatable things, all because we saw through the lies and deception of the Mccann pair.
All i wanted was justice. I believed from the start that Madeleine was dead and that the most likely culprits were the parents.
Poor little Madeleine, a child painted as "difficult" by her parents, she was in all probability a normal three year old, no doubt bored by being stuck in that creche day after day. It makes me so sad and angry, ALL those LIES LIES AND MORE LIES,
OH, and a matter of a £million.

Its way to early to make a decision either way. the facts remain that the child is missing, who knows where. The only person(s) who now what happened are the perpetrators themselves, whether that person is Murat, the McCanns or someone else remains a secret to themselves.
All that we know is what we are told by the media, some (arguable most..especially the print) of the media has been running a very slanted one sided storyline, but ultimately they have no better an idea of what happened than we do. They have used the Madeline story to sell newspapers, and the gullable public in this country have lapped it all up. It was journalists out n Portugal who originally pointed the finger of blame at Robert Murat.. because he was often around and seemingly wanted to help.. for no other reason than that. He may be invovled what happened, he may not we dont know.. but it certainly allowed the press to slaver over a whole new angle on the stroy to flog a bit more newsprint
So a lesson to learn from that in my view is if you near neighbour has a child that goes missing... and the British tabloid press are involved then dont offer to help anyone... as the press may well decide that you must be the culprit, seemingly becasue they have an aching void on their front page which they need to fill
Bear in mind it was the press who were hacked off that the Portugese police didn't provide the press with the quantity and sort of information and contact they have come to demand and expect form the British & US police forces.. that was their first complaint about the investigation.. not about the quality or depth of investigation.. that no one had chosen to break Portugese law and tell the press what they wanted to know.
Shame on the press, and shame on those who feed that habit.. the people who buy the tabloids that are still in a feeding frenzy over this sad story

As a so called "anti" as so many like to call us, I dont want to say too much until more information comes out. There has been an awful lot of unneccessary name calling and nastiness on here from BOTH sides since Madeleine first went missing. The only person I feel sorry for is Madeleine and I think if anyone is owed an apology then she is! Yes Kate has now been declared a suspect, but she has not been charged (yet) and to be honest, will we ever know exactly what did happen unless someone confesses or Madeleine is found? It is hard to charge somebody with murder without a body isn't it?
I just hope the truth comes out soon and that Madeleine is found safe and well.

I've remained netural on this subject whilst it has been filling pages and pages of Yahoo Answers over the last few months with a lot of hate and accusations from both sides.
As it stands at the moment, this is the latest twist in the case:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6982969.stm
If it does eventually prove to be true and the McCann's get marched to prison in handcuffs (and I stress IF), then yes, there will be a lot of humble pie to be eaten for sure, as the McCann's have been out there on a world tour, met the Pope, and wasted a lot of police time with tear-driven interviews pleaing for help in finding their daughter - they'd have fooled a lot of people. They won't be the first though, and they certainly won't be the last.

Bit confused here, what do you want an apology for?
No one has been found guilty yet and lets not forget the key issue here, a little girl is missing.
It is not your place or anyone elses to pass judgement especially on someone who hasn't actually been found guilty yet. Are you sure your not being biased because you never supported the McCanns in the first place and are just looking for them to be blamed?

So you feel a lot of people are OWED an apology, like who ?
If you are trying to infer that but objecting to the ongoing hate campaign the perpetrators of such are owed an apology I fail to see why.
Kate McCann has been declared a suspect, has she been charged no, has she been found guilty, again no.
So your point is what ?
Apology, do not hold your breath, I am not about to apologise for having an opinion to which i have every right to have.

Lets not forget that the Portuguese Police are useless...and wasted a lot of time hounding that weirdo Murat...On saying that - I - have been on the receiving end of a lot of abusive personal insults - from a few people who have answered your question... for saying that I - personally don't like the way Gerry "Jekyll" McCann has conducted himself during this sad event. I am not looking for an apology - just seeing that they have toned down their rhetoric is fine.
. Kate strikes me as being an abused wife -- Gerry never lets her say a word without his say-so - and even yesterday at the Police station he had Kate chaperoned by his Sister. I think they will have him in for questioning soon..

I never called anyone a name i just pointed out that you seem all to be lacking your usual gutter press articles because of Portuguese law. Almost like what Sky and company want is the laws of a sovereign nation to be changed so Murdoch and company can get more sordid details. My personal ideas remained just that personal and will remain personal.

I seem to remember people bandying facts about such as "These are proffessional people, Docotors, surely you dont expect they could do something like this"
Well "IF" they have done it, these same "Professional Doctors" were quite prepared to let (what could be), an innocent man (Robert Murrat), take the rap for it.
"IF" they have done it, these very devout Catholics (who managed an audience with the Pope), used their religion to gain sympathy and money to aid their deception.
"IF" they haven't done it (and believe me, the law works in mysterious way in all countries) then who has got the b@lls to put their hads up and say "I am shocked, but I was wrong"

So will you be prepared to publically apologise to Kate McCann if she is found not guilty? And do you think "I told you so" is appropriate? There is a missing child in this tragic story. It deserves more respect than "I told you so."
The fat lady is still to sing ...
