Whatever job you can get as a 16 year old drop out is not going to support you. It's getting towards the end of 2007 and by 2009 you think you will have enough money for a car and to move out? If you had stayed in school you would know how ridiculous that is. You will get a minimum wage paying job at best. Besides a car payment and rent, you also have to pay for insurance, food, electricity, phone, heat/ac...it's not cheap being an adult especially an uneducated one.

Go back to school.

EDIT: Also I hope since now you have quit school and decided to go out into the working world, you help out your parents or whoever you are living with financially.

Sorry, but at 16 you'll be lucky to get a McJob. If you have some special skills that would let you start your own business after you're 18, you may be able to make decent money. Otherwise, you are shutting a lot of doors for yourself. Consider getting back in school, or your future is bleak.

so yeah I think you are lazy. Maybe not intentionally but maybe becuase you parents did not put enough effort into you, so not your fault. I have to tell you about my brother. He droped out after he finished 9th grade. He is now 21 years old. He lives part time with my mom, the other times he stays with his friend, same age as him and still living in his moms house so I quess you can say my brother just went to go stay with another mom. My brother has said for years that he will get his ged, he actually got into the class to get it but dropped out the second day. He took tests at college and they said he was college level and they were working with him to get the ged and go to college for free all he had to do was the ged. My mom does nothing. While I was in school I was not allowed to go anywhere I had to come right home to study even if I had no homework. She was very strick on me but at the age of 12 my brother was able to run the strees until 3am when he had to be home. She did not put any effort in him at all. He finally got his first job at mcdonalds but even that is temporary. They said he has 2 months to get his ged or he will be fired. They do not hire ppl without ged or high school diploma but becuase he knows the owner they are trying tohelp him. I bet 100% he will quit soon and say something about it being their fault/ Please!!!!! Get the GED NOW! Why cant you do it now? you have no job and you dont go to school so what else do you do with your days? You can get your GED now and maybe even start college early and maybe graduate early! How cool will that be? Now days most ppl will not hire you if you are not in school or no ged. Even mcdonalds requires it. You are not a looser if you take action and do something right now. You will be a losser if you sit on your butt and do nothing. Chicks are atracted to smart guys

you need to get your GED now. Why wait 2 years? I know it is easy to sit around and say 'I will do it tomorrow, but you need the boost it will give you.' Not to mention, potential employers seeing you are trying to turn things around. I have been the person hiring for different positions and some were entry level and required no diploma. I never looked twice at an application that was from a dropout unless they were currently enrolled in GED classes and I made no apologies for it. If a person couldn't get themselves to a class to get their GED I figured they weren't a very motivated individual and how could I expect them to get to work.

Go back to school while you work part-time. That's if you want a car. That's if you want a license. That's if you want to move out.

Otherwise GET YOUR GED now. Get up. You're old enough to make the decision to drop out. Now get up and make decisions. Get up and get that GED. Stop holding it off. 2009?

But, yes you're not a loser. You just need to act upon your decisions.

Yeah, seriously, get that GED, until then, you'll be flipping burgers.

If you're smart enough and dont' want to stand all day flipping burgers, you know what you'll have to do...don't get arrested, hahaha, or flip burgers.

One of the few options is to get that GED...until then....no pickles with my burger....and don't spit on my burger!

Dude u sound like the independent type so I got a idea u might like. U ain't gotta work for someone else u know to make good money.

I got two friends who go around to garage sales, auction houses, etc. and buy up all kinds of crap. Then they fix it, clean it ,or whatever to get it workin or lookin nice. Then they sell it on the ebay site.

The one guy who is a friend of my dad's really makes like $150,000 yearly doin it and he don't have any other job.

The other guy is 17yo and does it part time on weekends. He makes like $1200 each month.

U will have to get someone 18yo or more to start up your ebay account and paypal account if u want that too. The 17yo kid had his mum start it up for him.

Think on it dude.

Yeah, you can get a job in the mall. You might try a local restaurant, though, as you can make a killing in tips as a waiter, though you'll have to be 18 to serve alcohol... so maybe a diner type joint that doesn't serve.

Hope this helps!
