yes,i have see people with there heads in there hands and i dont mean that in a good way ,we found them dead while on patrol in baghdad we found three of them they were all sitting
up against a wall and there heads were in there laps .

It's a historical reference and is meant to mean that the offence for which the heads will roll is so heinous that had we been living a few hundred years ago, the offender would have faced the axe ... another modern usage of a historical reference.

Actually yes, I had a friend who was a keen motor biker and I was walking down the street with a group of friends when he sped past us and turned his head to wave. Unfortunately he didn't see a lorry that had stopped at traffic lights and he hit the back of the truck forcing his bike and his body under the tail-end taking his head straight off, we watched in horror as it just bounced along the street.

Expression used in business meaning people will lose their jobs for making serious mistakes. It's a reference to the use of the Guillotine during the French Revolution.

I've never seen a Guillotine in use, but I've seen plenty of people loose their jobs.
