He trumped the debate by seeing their cards, then announcing his run without revealing his hand. Until they ask questions that matter, these debates are little more than equal time commercials. By election time nobody will remember Rudy scolding Dr Paul. The issues will be different and the debates still scripted. How many #1 draft picks are NFL, NBA, or MLB starters. These debates are similar in that people can select a candidate based on a perception of ability or popularity. Once in the game they fumble and expose their weaknesses. Fred Thompson is a made for Media candidate. Once in the Presidency that same media can turn on him in a second. A smart man would do exactly what he did, a brilliant man however would have never entered the race. At least he will make it more interesting until he drops out after the convention.

howdy FRED..great bags decrease than THE EYES. WHY IS anyone LISTINING TO THIS previous FART? If Fred have been given elected, i think he stands out as the 1st President to sleep with the aid of his inauguration. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......... the guy does not have sufficient capability to be the President of a 4-H club. If he stops taking crib notes from the different republican applicants and easily shows some unique concepts in keeping with risk he may be taken greater heavily. Republicans and Democrats are seeking for for applicants with new concepts not a similar 15 year previous politics. I anticipate Romney wins the nomination via the technique of removing..then loses the often used election on the weak point of his platform.

Fred Thompson is a coward and will not get any more popular. He has no ideas of his own, no ability to get things done, and he looks horrible! There is no way 50% of Americans are going to elect him President.

My opinion is he is a man who avoided the debates and went for lightweight leno's couch instead of dealing with questions from less than professional interviewers on FOX- it seemed he wanted no part in the failed public lynching of ron paul -good for him -looks like this will come down to ron paul and Thompson now
