So a bunch of people were talking at the end of practice and I, not a part of the conversation, am quietly making weird noises by myself. (It's something I do, don't worry about it.) Anyway, this one guy I've known for awhile asks me, "Oh, do you like the sound of your own voice," interrupting both me, the conversation, and was being rude to boot. I couldn't think of any good comebacks. Can anyone think of any? BTW, the guy is sensitive about his height if that helps at all. (Napoleonic complex, you all know the type.)

I have dealt with guys with "Short-man's syndrome" but I don't think it needs to be used in his case. He made a rude crack about your voice. Turn it right back around to him. Example:
"Not really, but I had to make some kind of noise because YOUR voice sucks."

Oh, yeah, I hate this. You always come up with the clever response later, at least I do. So then you're going to be like George (not saying you're short) in Seinfeld and spend a bunch of time trying to get the guy to say it again so you can say your response back?! Gosh that was funny. Anyway, wish I could help, but I'm not to good at thinking of clever responses until later! ;)

So what's up with the making noises to yourself? Why not just joing the conversation?

when asked if you enjoy the sound of your own voice respond immediatly by asking "Do you enjoy the smell of your own farts?" That should shut him up
