I would suggest u call someone regarding this matter. A raccoon, squirrel or any other living creature can cause much damage to the wiring (fire-potential), the walls and the beams inside the walls, etc.
It needs to be checked out. You may even want to call the A.S.P.C.A. for advise...or even call a carpenter to actually break in. Be very careful. Can cause much $$$$ damage.

Check the roof again especially under and around the gutters. It sounds like you got squirrels in the walls. It is pretty hard to get them out once they move in. what you need to do is find out how they get in and block it up when they are out of the house, generally during the middle of the day. fix up the hole (use some material they cannot chew through) so they cannot get in and have a check for any new ones because squirrels are determined and they are not gonna give up their "home" just like that.

It could be Chuck Norris. Or any variety of the wild animals suggested. Do you have any plumbing or ventilation shafts in the wall? Plumbing in particular. If you live in an area where there are drastic changes in temperature on a daily basis (like a desert) or very cold temperatures, the pressure in the lines can cause the pipes to vibrate and make weird noises. Ventilation shafts may catch drafts.
Or it could be deadly man-eating squirrels.
Good luck whatever it is (they are).

Knock a hole in your wall and stick your arm in there when you hear it.
Wait, thats not a good idea.
Seriously, something is finding its way up into that wall somehow. You would be suprised at how small animals can squeeze into and through just about anything.
I dont know what to do about telling you how to deal with it, but it really does sound like somethings getting in your walls.

It may be squirrels, or mice in the space between the wall and the the sheetrock. You should have someone check it out for you. Sometimes they get in through the outside vents, or small holes near where your electric, cable or outdoor faucet and drains are. They can fit into the tiniest holes, so you may not even notice where they are entering.

cicadas in keeping with probability? Cicadas are the loudest and strongest sound-producing bugs interior the international. Conversely, some small species have songs so intense in pitch that the noise is inaudible to people. in effortless terms the adult males resound as a mating ritual to entice a woman and many cicada species tend to hold jointly while calling which will advance the entire quantity of noise. Species have distinctive mating songs to be sure they entice the suited mate.

A few years ago, my friend had an infestation of some kind of animal in his house. His house was one of those that was about three feet off the ground, not a trailer house, but an elevated ground floor, with one of those metal panels on the side that you can pull off and go under the house, you know what I'm talking about (Lot's of houses here in Tennessee are like that). Anyway, these things got in his ventilation system all over the house. We called them "rat-bat-cats" because they looked like a mixture of all of those things. They were about the size of a rat, but looked more like they would be at a pet shop. They didn't look dirty or dis guesting or scary, they almost looked cute. They had short, brown/tan fur, with a short furry tail, and big ears. Almost like a half mouse half chipmunk. I know we found out what they were but I can't recall what their name is. Anyway, if you can get under your house too, do that and see if you can fish em out, that's what he did.

hmm... have you read JTHM? Nny has to feed his wall.
But seriously, maybe there's a wild animal living under your house or in the wall. I'm sure there's a logical explanation for the noise.

Depending on where you live it could be local wildlife trapped in your walls (racoon, possum, stray dog etc). Especially if your place is on the ground floor, or there are many old ventilation ducts, animals can get in.
Why is your question in Family and Relationships?

might be neighbor's dog; or perhaps your own stomach when you are hungry. Have a doctor check your belly for a possible ulcer or excess hydrchloric acid.
