Why do people cut..?

im not trying to say omg ur a cutter wtf the **** is worng with u.. im jsut wondering why u wuld choose to cut urself.. i kno ppl that hav nd i kno wen u do theres sum **** goin on.. but y cuttin?

It comes down to an over-welming experience of neglect and/or abuse. This is simply a technique used by the conicousness to make feeling in the individual at a very primative level. It isn't completely understood and it only really hits ladies who are suffering extremely long perids of depression, usually life-long, and is a survival technique for the ego. Best thing to requinze about individuals like this is that they NEED affaction and attention, because its the overwelming lack of this, that causes their condition.

My Personal Opionin (pratice discretion, this is my view, not the science)

I feel this has alot to do with the way female ego works. See theres a fundemental difference in human sexuality. This difference comes from the act its self. Were one sex will need to dominate the other (pentrate) and another will be domanated (pentrated) this leaves males with a natural inclination to dominate (even outside of sexuality) and females to be dominated. Now in family senerios were the father is absent, and/or neglectfu or rather doesn't TREAT the daughter in a health matterl, the females doesn't get the domanice (which really is a word for directed, males need to have direction to give females so they can pentrate, women most be set up to take those directions and be pentrated) or rather direction she needs to feel like she is being a good function individual. Since she lacks this feeling, she makes it anyways she can, the cutting is a primitive way of feeling.... scolled? controlled? abused? directed? for there actions, because NO ONE wants to believe there perfect we need that direction. Again thou that was all my assuptions and really only qualifies as a hypothiesis, but I think it might make a little bit more since then there just crazy.... lets just say that i've found about 3 "cutters" in my life each one had a father that didn't know how to treat their daughters, they treated them to... much like they were perfect, this left them with insecurities when they got to puberty and descovered most males don't think of them that way.... but that was only 3 out of a million you know....
