It depends on what you are going to use it for,There are glues that make a simple bond all the way up to UV activated glue that makes a very strong bond for glass.A hobby store would have most of these and there are many glass supply companies on the net that would have the UV glue. Melting it together with a torch is also a strong bond but might require running it through a kiln to keep it from breaking when it cools or cracking after it cools depending on the type of glass.A Bunsen burner is a bit small for that and two torches and two people is overkill.I make things with glass and use a single torch and work with tubing of different sizes and it is in 5 foot lengths that I cut down.It might be easier to buy a piece of the right size.You can E-mail me if you would more info.

Side by side - E-6000 or Marine Goop available at hobby and hardware stores.
End to end and invisible - UV cure glass glue, Loctite makes a version sold in many hardware stores - cures in sunlight.

Two torches, two people,Each person Heat glass tube ends til red while spinning the tubes. When they are both red or molten bring together and keep spinning in same direction while you let them cool. Try it. Jerald

There is an adhesive made for bonding glass.
