I ate lunch at a little wine bar a couple blocks from the TransAmerica building. I can't remember the name but it was only a 2 block walk from the TA building, down a little narrow alley and around the corner. My pancetta sandwich was wonderful.
I also had lunch at the Stinking Rose. If you love garlic, you'll love this place. The food was great.

Who could answer that question?
We're going up on Saturday. We're going to eat at La Mediteranee on Filmore St. If you like Middle Eastern food, you could do a lot worse. Try the Chicken Cilicia.
Park Chow on 9th Ave. is also very nice. Good selection of beer on tap.

Well that is an open ended question. My suggestion is that you look at this web sight: http://yelp.com
It is best if you put in what area of SF you will be in, then you can choose what type of food you would like.
p.s. the reviews are from real people not the owners or professional restaurant people

I think I understand Soxrcats answer. So many places and hidden treasures. Do some exploring. That is part of the fun.

From whereever you are, head North two blocks. Turn left, go across the street and eat there. It may not be the best in SF, but you'll never know until you try.
