By giving them good solid advice! By giving monetary aid, food, clothing etc. absolutely when required! By providing or assisting in getting people jobs! By offering to baby sit for a few of my couple friends whom I feel don't go out and have fun too often because of the kids! Oh,my God! I just love an opportunity to help someone!!!

Just help out when you can. Even if it is simple things like holding the doors for others or if someone has a lot of things to carry out to their car at the grocery store, give them a hand! Or if someone drops something you can pick it up and give it back to them. There are just so many countless things you can do to help.

As an RN, I've spent 28 years caring for, promoting healing, relieving pain, and providing safe and effective care for my patients. I've been their nurse, their shoulder to cry on, their teacher, their partner in prayer. I don't know how many years I have left to work, but I can look over my life and know that something I did or something I said made a difference in someones' life. That's a good feeling.

Funny you should ask. My neighbor has a daughter who just had her leg amputated. They are an older couple and are at the hospital most days. Many of us in my neighborhood make meals for them. A good dish that they can heat up easily and provide good nutrition. I was so glad to help! I also give them extra veggies from my garden.

You help different people in different ways. Some people just need someone to listen to them, some need a hug, etc. I'm always willing to lend an ear, give a hug, I'm willing to help anyone to the best of my capabilities in the way that they need it. Sometimes it helps people to get through a bad situation if they know they have someone to help them, even if it's only a hug.
