Ive played video games since I was born, Ive never displayed any violent or homicidal acts, in fact video games may help relieve stress which can cause violent acts, I know when I do get angry I like to jump on my PC and start blowing some heads off, but that dosent mean I would even consider it in real life, the truth is that it is all political bullshit. Now if kids do develop a addiction for video games(World of Warcraft), then this could cause some violence, but its video game addiction, not violence in video games that cause this.

killing is always wrong. Shooting and being violent is not a good habit to encourage. Playing games and increasing eye hand coordination and memory is a good thing. Competition is good. Let me think.... yes it affects the kids brain in what way?............ depends on how the kids view the game and how they play it.

The key is moderation and awareness( kid knows it's just a game).Secondly, everybody is affected differently. They aren't bad except in extreme cases and on the contrary enhance quite a few skills like motor control, response time, precision, solution finding, logical thinking and many more. The worst part could be getting addicted to it and thus to a compulsive behavioral pattern which may manifest else where.

Violent games usually don't trigger real-life violence in kids...but it can happen if the kid is misguided because of bad parenting, excessive gaming, bad friends, pre-existing mental problems, etc.

yes, i think it helps their development of motor skills, but it also puts the image in tgheir heads that violence is "okay." I do not approve of some of the games my little brother plays, but some parents are too careless and will buy their spoild child anything.
