I have to read an PDF attachment from a website and every time I open it on to word, there's just a bunch of characters...I don't get why it's not working but I need to get it working ASAP...any help would be *GREATLY* appreciated! also, would it help if I restarted my computer or would I still run into the same problem?

that's the download page for Acrobat reader. Word cannot open PDF files on its own, and that's why you need to install this.
Don't worry, it's free and painless to install. once it's done, u'll even be able to open PDF files from within your browser.
