Your rates for a miscarriage is higher with PCOS, but if you are monitored well it can be prevented. Unfortunately, I suffered a pre term loss at 22 weeks with PCOS. My cervix started dilating (funneling) and I went into early labor. I conceived through IVF so I was on progesterone for the first 12 weeks. But this hasn't stopped me from trying again. I have girl friend with PCOS and she conceived with metformin and had no complications. Don't let the chance of miscarriage deter you from trying. You could always get pregnant have normal pregnancy.

Women who have miscarriages with PCOS normally have a progesterone deficiency, or they are insulin resistant and this has something to do with miscarriage.
Ive heard lots of success with women taking Metformin and natural progesterone cream through the first 2 months and this is supposed to lower the chances of miscarriage
But of course, some women with PCOS may have a miscarriage that has nothing to do with PCOS itself but something else.. but they always chaulk it up to the PCOS. So you never know.
Then there are some women who don't take metformin or progesterone that have PCOS, get pregnant naturally and have no complications at all. There are lots of women out there that have multiple kids concieved naturally that will never know they have PCOS at all
