If you are flying, you need a passport. If you are travelling by land, a certifed birth certificate, photo I.D., OR you may also use your passport ( tho it is not yet required for land travel.)

Passport, a copy of your birth certificate, a visa or similar form- depending on how long you will be there (those are passed out on the plane and stamped in the recieving airport), probably your state license is a good idea...I think that's it.

Where are you from? For how long? what are your plans?
I'm not from customs, but just to see how you'll react when the
mexican "migra" ask you.... and be carefull they ask different questions when you enter, practice,,,,
